If your initial reaction to drawing people is the overwhelm: “How do I start?”, then this is a perfect course for you. Before you can tackle the complex, you have to learn to simplify, and cubism is a perfect tool that was designed to do just that. While Picasso made cubism popular in the 20th century, simplifying and drawing facets/surfaces was actually the technology invented in the 16th century. It was high tech for the time.
After completing this course you’ll be able to take a complex subject such as a crowd or a battle scene, and construct it from imagination, with or without models. For an illustrator, animator, or fine artist, this skill will set you apart.
The course will include demonstrations and examples of the technique, so you will be able to follow along.
What you'll learn:
This course is suitable for the students who have already acquired basic drawing skills. Please note: no prior experience with the human body is necessary. Graduates of the Essential Drawing Course are welcome. To qualify for this course, if you are an absolute beginner, you need to complete 12 weeks of the Essential Drawing Course, which you can join right now or at any time.
