The supplies listed below are suitable for plein air and urban sketching. They were specifically chosen to be compact, lightweight, and portable so you can easily take them outside. Keep in mind that you do not need to repurchase supplies if you already own any of the materials listed below.

We found this watercolor set that includes a 60mL water bottle, a Cotman Series 111 No.5 brush, 2 clip-on water pots, and 3 palettes with multiple mixing areas that folds into a travel-friendly box. We chose this specific set for the pigments: Lemon Yellow Hue, Cadmium Yellow Hue, Cadmium Red Pale Hue, Permanent Rose, Ultramarine, Cerulean Blue Hue, Viridian Hue, Sap Green, Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber, Lamp Black, Chinese White. The watercolor pans are removable, so you can customize your palette according to your preferences.
