Instructions

Week 2:

Continue painting over your colorblocked underpainting of the landscape.

In your second layer, focus on lights and shadows - you can even begin to mention the differences in hue (some areas may be for example greener or redder). As a shortcut, you can move your brush in a variety of ways to suggest texture.

On your third layer, you can deliberately add texture (using a tiny brush or even your palette knife to paint/scratch the tiniest of leaves and branches).

Remember to:

  1. Squint
  2. Step back
  3. Take photos
  4. Trust your eyes!
Week 1:

Finish your color chart from class. Continue color mixing with the home assignment, practicing triple and quadruple mixtures.
