Celebrity Faces in Watercolor and Pen

12x16” Watercolor pad (or larger if you prefer creating larger portraits)
Table easel - optional but recommended
Small box of watercolors (Prang is OK)
Pen set - Speedball #5
Black ink, water-resistant (permanent; NOT water-soluble)
3-4 soft-hair paintbrushes small, medium, and large sizes (no bristles please!)
30 sheets of standard white cardstock
10 sheets of tan cardstock of standard size
10 Sheets black cardstock of standard size
White gouache* or white Blick Premium tempera**

Note: *Gouache is typically good quality in any brand. **Blick Premium tempera is excellent.

With other brands of tempera you have to be careful: Prang and Jazz brands are NOT worth buying. Blick's store-brand student-grade tempera is OK. Contact us if you are considering buying a brand different from the ones we listed.
