Creative Technique in Charcoal: Portrait

Warm-up exercise:

Main project:

Eraser set (ArtGum eraser, kneaded eraser)
Medium willow charcoal ‍
Charcoal drawing paper, at least 4 sheets ‍
Paper towels or napkins for blending
Workable fixative spray (for when you're done with your drawings)
Optional: gloves in your size

Tips on how to prepare for class:

Lay down newspapers to cover your table. Have a trashcan nearby to dump excess charcoal dust.
