- Prussian Blue
- Quinacridone Magenta
- Raw Sienna
- Burnt Sienna
- Raw Umber
- Viridian Green (or Phthalo Green Blue shade as a substitute for Viridian)
- Bristle paint brushes, variety of sizes
- Easel (table easel or standing easel)
- Sturdy support board, if painting on unstretched canvas or small canvases
- Clips, if painting on unstretched canvas
- Mist bottle for keeping your mixtures moist
- Palette knife
