Bill Beatty is a co-founder of Prima Materia, who helps develop the curriculum. Bill is the Education Coordinator and one of the principal teachers. He conducts interviews and reviews portfolios of the candidates to the College Portfolio Program.

William Beatty is a co-founder of Prima Materia, who helps develop the curriculum. Bill is the Education Coordinator and one of the principal teachers. He conducts interviews and reviews portfolios of the candidates to the College Portfolio Program. Bill teaches figure drawing with live models on Saturdays and does occasional art critiques and advanced artist coaching. His specialty is training beginners on how to see and working with Portfolio students to help them master rendering from life. Bill also teaches plein air painting, taking artists to beautiful locations of San Diego. Bill is a member of the San Diego Museum of Art and Contemporary Arts Committee.
